The ad depicting a farmer said to be in her part of St. Catherine http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XemSbHatWxE

Portia said she investigated and found that no such farmer as in the ad lives in her part of St. Catherine where she came from.

Now, if Portia really believed that there was actually a farmer there as portrayed by the JLP campaign, I wonder if she also investigated if it was really she that was on the cell phone chatting to the farmer.

Poor Mother P. This whole polititrix ting is paying its toll on whats left of her brains.

For me its not about labourites or socialists. I supported Manley back in 89 and then Patterson back in the early 90s. The PNP has become more and more corrupt as the years go by, dem don't even bother hide it no more, cuz ah de runnings, and the belief is that no matter what they do they will find a way to spin things and the people will support them. 18 1/2 years for any political party, especially an under performing one is too long. Their campaign platform is give us another 5 years to continue what we have been doing over the last 18 1/2. Dem overdue for a time out.

The point has been made that anyone regardless of socio economic status, gender or background can become PM. Now its time to get serious and get on with the business of running the country...by giving the reigns to new leadership. If the JLP dont perform they won't have the luxury of 18+years, the people should dehire them after one term. The ballot box is the only way for us to deal with 'ticians who become puffed up and who believe that they have a God ordained right to power.

Let us all meet back here in four years and see how many are still shouting up the JLP or going on about hope for change.
I find it sad that so many haven't learned from the history of the past 47 years of inept and downright dishonest and corrupted governments under BOTH parties.

It is well past time that Jamaicans (and people in the U.S.) start looking for more democratic and more accountable governmental forms and stop considering the JLP or PNP as capable of change.

See you all in four years if we're all still alive..

Cynicism and indifference is not IMO the solution to Jamaica's problems. What do people here propose that those eligible to vote do on August 27th? The PNP has held the reigns of power for 22 of the last 30 years. More than any other party the PNP is responsible for the state of Jamaica as it is now. All politicians have a tendency to corruption because to borrow a well known quote "power tends to corrupt and absolute power tends to corrupt absolutely".

We have spared the rod of correction available to us through the ballot box for too long. Those in positions of leadership need to know that they serve the people, not themselves and must perform or they are out!

Both you and remo have exhibited different degrees of biterness.
Yours JC is that you think that giving up on what has not been tested makes no sense and is rather extreme.
The JLP has never presided over the amount of corruption, murder and missappropriations that the PNP has in our political history.

As for you mr. remo to wish physical harm as in breaking legs is quite another thing, but quite in line with the desperation your party is in at the moment.

I knew you didn`t mean harm nor malice but what could be hidden in the dark come to sight in the light.
I have voted for both PNP and JLP in the past.
This time I`ll be voting for the JLP because I simply think that the PNP was a good party, is now overcome by morons and corrupt denizens denting any credibility that maybe trying to breach the surface of goodwill for Jamaica as a nation and not a divided tribe.
You have your right to choose the PNP as anyone else has.

Forgive him Wardo. It is not worth the worry to have up those who have opposite or alternate views.
And also bear in mind that remo is not one to make slips of the pen nor to be openly crude.

Tuffy now we all know who he is. He is our `Red` sheep of the family. So we can stomach Tuff knowing well that is just how our bad bro is. An yu know seh him nuh really bad. Him just erratic as how Dr. Dudd can be when under pressure.

I wish for them to reconcile and come back and keep the vitality needed in Politrix at this time.

like the JLP under Ciaga beginning about 1974 -
this is what spawned the distrust of this party for jamaicans of my generation

I am neither a PNP or JLP supporter(thats the truth) ..I am for jamaica ....unlike the JLP in the past
